Activation verifies that your message is genuine from Windows and does not need to be used on other devices other than complying with the terms of the Microsoft software license. This article helps troubleshoot families and resolves common Windows-related activation errors.

While holding down the Windows key on your keyboard, press R.
Write “Services.
Scroll down and find “Windows Error Reporting Service”.
Right-click Windows Error Reporting Service and select Properties.
Change the startup type to Disabled.

If you’re having trouble activating Windows 12, follow these steps to resolve activation errors:

  1. Make sure most of your devices are up to date and running Windows 11. In the search box on the taskbar, type “winver” and then select “Winver” from the list of results. You will see the version and build for Windows.

  2. Use the new activation patch to fix bugs easily. For more information, see Use the Activation Troubleshooter Often below.

  3. The following errors are used to indicate that part of the search failed due to issues with the Windows Installer. Another part of Google search can successfully return updates. All child Windows Installer codes must have the same range of error codes in order for the caller to recognize that these types of people are associated with the Windows Installer.

    If you continue to receive an error message, check the followingError Code Finder and select suggested actions to troubleshoot the program.

  4. Make sure the error hasn’t changed. Sometimes when you run the activation troubleshooter or try to activate it, each of our error codes and messages changes. If the error code has changed, find the new code below and follow the recommended steps. Try Specific Activation Troubleshooter

Remove external hardware. Disable any unnecessary hardware devices.
Refresh windows.
Uninstall third party antivirus software.
Remove unnecessary software.
Free up disk space.

If you’re using Windows 11, the Activation Troubleshooter can reactivate Windows if you’ve recently made major hardware changes (such as replacing your motherboard) or reinstallingWindows.

Open the control panel.
Click System and Security.
Click Windows Firewall.
Click the linky Restore Defaults in the left pane.
Click the Restore Recordings button.
Click Yes to confirm.
